    Default My New Honda City AT

    Seeing other members posting pics of their Cars, I have also decided to share mine. Havent done something specific except adding a touchscreen DVD, backview camera, speakers in the rear doors and security system. Though I had plans to get 195/60 R15 yokohama C drive tyres but mine came fitted with Goodyear GT3, so I dropped the idea.

    Actually it depends on yr requirement and budget. U might get a good branded DVD touch screen for Rs 35000 + which may not have all features that u can get in a Chinese DVD system costing Rs 15000 +
    Many different Chinese brands are available in local market but since Rockmars was much talked about here at Pakwheels so I opted for it. Got mine for Rs 17000/- but was pulled down to see the same one being sold at hall road for Rs 15500/- . So far its working good, its the latest series and to me the sound is good. No there has been no knocking at all. I did push it late night on 7 avenue and found the engine to be very responsive with no knocking. I think its a complaint with manual City and not AT. Gear ratios are different for both.

    Nice car. I like this design much better than the old shape, and your color choice is very good.

    I hope you have miles and miles of safe and great driving in this car!

    @ Irfan bhai, last Friday I was talking about this car of yours when the line dropped...bhoot bhoot mubarak ho aap ko...
    Well I came to know about this new addition to your family from your thread about the tyres...

    many congratzzz nice to see that you tear off the plastic covers from the seats and please do not put the seat covers so you will enjoy every bit of this new ride

    I notice one thing in new city that amazingly the front grill is not matching and if you need one, you need to limited yourself up to gray color.

    Come on Honda U should give matching front grill

    Congratulations on your new ride.A very nice choice.
    U are very lucky to have Goodyear tires but looks small on the car
    Very nice extras added to
    Get good rims and wider tires if you have money to spend on.It will make it look further better

    Thx to all members for the good wishes. Talking about the white color; well I used to see lot of polished metal and silver ones but very rare whites and to me white looked very nice on this 3rd generation City. Now over the last two weeks I do see greater number of white Citys. Looks like it is picking up popularity.

    Thanks,
    Wish u good luck with yr city....Well I did not do much research about the rear door speakers and just asked the person to fix the good ones in rear door. He installed Sony Xplod XS-GTF 1626. The sound is just acceptable and is not as good as the front stock speakers. They costed Rs 2400 which sure is a low end price.
    However, keeping fader one click to the rear speakers is good enough for me.

    @Panther

    Congratulations for the new ride mate. The white colour looks superb. Simple, yet elegant. I also own a white manual version.

    @iLLDuDe786

    I bought the manual version in October last year and since then, I've had no problem with the car except for the rubber seal on the left door that started coming out. I managed to fix that myself. As for the knocking. Always fill the petrol from a reliable petrol station offering good quality fuel. Upon delivery, I took the car to the nearest PSO station on Peshawer Road in Rawalpindi, filled up some 8 litres and the car started knocking. After utilizing the fuel, I went to Super Market (Islamabad) after a few days and got it refueled from Shell Petrol pump, and the knocking, all of a sudden, disappeared and the pick up increased, just as it was at the time of delivery. Caltex and Shell in the Super Market area have the best quality petrol (in my opinion) in Islamabad. Jinnah Super's Shell station is also good. Also, have a look at page 93 of the owner's manual (that is if you can get one) . It mentions knocking caused by low grade/low octane fuel. In addition, always use the recommended 10W 30 with AP-SL grade motor oil. Avoid 25W 50 AP-SG as it will ruin the pick up and produce more knocking. These are simple facts that people ignore, and start blaming the car for everything that's going wrong. In my opinion, both the GLI and the City are good vehicles (overpriced though). The XLI/GLI has less pickup due to its heavy body but the suspension is soft and has qood quality drive for the laid back driver whereas the new City has a sporty drive, excellent pick up, excellent road grip, and a brilliant fuel mileage. It's basically a question of choice. Since, I prefer a sporty drive and prefer a black interior over beige and petrol over cng, I chose the new City and am a satisfied and proud owner of it.
