@Panther
Congratulations for the new ride mate. The white colour looks superb. Simple, yet elegant. I also own a white manual version.

I bought the manual version in October last year and since then, I've had no problem with the car except for the rubber seal on the left door that started coming out. I managed to fix that myself. As for the knocking. Always fill the petrol from a reliable petrol station offering good quality fuel. Upon delivery, I took the car to the nearest PSO station on Peshawer Road in Rawalpindi, filled up some 8 litres and the car started knocking. After utilizing the fuel, I went to Super Market (Islamabad) after a few days and got it refueled from Shell Petrol pump, and the knocking, all of a sudden, disappeared and the pick up increased, just as it was at the time of delivery. Caltex and Shell in the Super Market area have the best quality petrol (in my opinion) in Islamabad. Jinnah Super's Shell station is also good. Also, have a look at page 93 of the owner's manual (that is if you can get one) . It mentions knocking caused by low grade/low octane fuel. In addition, always use the recommended 10W 30 with AP-SL grade motor oil. Avoid 25W 50 AP-SG as it will ruin the pick up and produce more knocking. These are simple facts that people ignore, and start blaming the car for everything that's going wrong. In my opinion, both the GLI and the City are good vehicles (overpriced though). The XLI/GLI has less pickup due to its heavy body but the suspension is soft and has qood quality drive for the laid back driver whereas the new City has a sporty drive, excellent pick up, excellent road grip, and a brilliant fuel mileage. It's basically a question of choice. Since, I prefer a sporty drive and prefer a black interior over beige and petrol over cng, I chose the new City and am a satisfied and proud owner of it.
