Default honda city 08-need comments and help

    helloo..
i recently got my plugs changed to NGK single tip stock plugs..previously i have been using the bosch 4 tip FR78x,which were givin me quite satisfactory performance and economy on CNG/petrol...
secondly i'v been using zic A plus ,and now shifted to MOBIL now on a mechanics suggestion..now the thing is,i have felt a huge difference in the pick up and fuel economy both,on cng and petrol, the car seemz to get breathless, even if i pedal it to the floor, the response is really poor..and now the car is almost refusing to climb up steep slopes, tried hard to get to monal, but could'nt!!

what can be the possible reasons!!got the tappets and throttle body cleaning done by honda guys a couple of months back and i dun think there is any issue with that..

i was havin a vague idea that i have upgraded my audio setup recently, and the electrical load is too much on the car,if that could be a possible reason??
    neeed ur help experts!!

I would've asked you to check the plug wires, but since your car was running perfectly before the changes, so it has to be one of the things you replaced.

I doubt it is the oil, that leaves us with the air filter(which you prolly changed while changing the oil) and the plugs - check your plugs, they have to be the culprit. As Hash mentioned, you can't be sure about the originality of anything these days.

do u still have the old plugs with u?
if u do have them, install them back and check the pick.
this will atleast help confirm its due to plugs

and u did not say, pick is less on cng only or on petrol as well

yup i think u are on the right direction,as i had a tolk to one of another pw professional, and he told me NGK plugs floating in the market r all fake, and probably dealer himself duz'nt knw he is selling the fake ones...but strange enuff,i have been told by people that the stock plugs need gapping, but that installer was consistent that the plugs come factory gapped

i changed the air filter!!secondly change of oil from ZIC A plus to MOBIL can make any difference on performance?

last,i do have my bosch plugs with me,though they've been used for an year now,i think i should try puting them up to check the difference!!

i would really appreciate for any other valuable comments

    Sir

Have you checked the Denso K20PR-U11 or Iridium power IK20, in NGK V Power BKR6E-11 and IRIDIUM IX BKR6EIX-11.

They are the best of the best, especially the iridium ones.

Get the Gap of 1-1.1mm for Petrol.

    Regards

i think the solution is pretty obvious
its the plugs, so try gapping them and check again

else buy a new set. i am using platinum single tip ngk and satisfied.
sitting on the chair and asking here again and again wont resolve. drive to the mechanic and take out the plugs
