    different theories
few saw since there is no engine bay space in vti 01-06, the cng reducer is fitted mile away from the throtle body(usually down near mud guard). that might be one cause of poor performance
p.s cng works wonders in 1.3 city's as well (manual ones not Vario)
though new shape city can be converted to cng, it has no cvt

    Sir

Please do not ever even try to get a vario on CNG.All Civic, Corolla, Vitz/Platz, Belta, new (2009+ and old 97-02) City, Lancer, even a CL7 Accord runs good on CNG.

Also do not try CNG on Hybirds (I have seen some trying).

In imported cars, try to get sequential kit.

    Regards

At the current rates of Petrol and CNG you wont get "Double" milage on CNG anymore :
City Vario does 75 kms for Rs. 500 of Petrol, in city driving.
While on CNG, it wont go over 100 kms in Karachi city for Rs. 400 - 450.
And you ll burn your lac rupee transmission for a few hundred rupees alongwith Rs. 30,000 cash for the kit and cylinder
