Default A query for my city 2010

    salam PWers...
    I have a few questions..

    1) Will installing after market Bosch horns without a relay, in place of the stock horn be harmful for the wiring?? I dont know exactly but i think the wattage of the bosch horn would be higher than the stock horn.

    2) The white Narva bulbs that so many ppl keep talking abt, are they of the same wattage as the stock or is it higher? If its is higher, how does it harm the car's electronics?

Hoping for a quick respons. AH

your horns will require a relay in order to work properly.... means to sound both tones properly. (i' haven't installed horns in my city yet but i asked the electrician)

norva bulbs... are of the same watts.... u can see it on its website.

however korean xenon bulbs has the same results but the wattage is 200w as compare to 60w of the stock.

    Sir

Narva rally bulbs are not street legal.

For both Horn and Narva, you have to install a relay.

I went in for my 30 day check up at the dealer today, and asked the service adviser abt installing a horn and he said as long as i don't cut or alter the original wires it will not have any affect on the warranty.

When you had your horn installed was it direct plug and play or did you have to add anything?

Also how much did you pay for the horn?

bosch (spanish) horns are plug and play - and they sound just sweet and soft,, Love the sound, If your wiring is crappy like Atlas Honda offers - you might need a relay with properly sized wires.

When buying bulbs - check the wattage on your headlamp casing - and make it sure that you dont overshoot the wattage, you can melt wires with high wattage running through the original wires for low wattage

Whenever installing heavier electronics, its always better to install a relay. That way you would be taking the load off the car's wiring and the switches.

+1. And using higher wattage bulbs may also cause premature fading of the headlamp reflectors due to excessive heat.

sorry for the late reply guyz..
@half_lunatic: i paid 1500 PKR for the horns...bosch made in turkey. got them from montgomery road. I had to do a slight modification since it is a "pair" of horns that i have now installed...the stock is a single horn but the relay is already there....
