Default ABS of new City 2010

I need to know, either new Honda City has Four Wheels ABS or only rear Wheels ABS? On their website its little confusing, there they mentioned Rear with ABS but when i visited their Showroom then said, it has Four Wheels ABS because ABS also applies on Four Wheels.

    Please guide.

    Thanks
    Ali

Bro, can you tell me when the ABS is activated in Honda City a thak thak sound come from front wheels? It looks like the ABS are stopping the wheels to lock. I have this annoying sound coming from my front wheels and I assume that there is problem with front wheels. Please tell if you have the same case?

Its 4 wheel ABS, Front is Disc and the rear is drum brake but the ABS applies on all 4 wheels simultaneously.

ye bro its normal. the thak thak sound is that of holding and releasing the brakes by the abs unit to avoid wheels lock up thats y it is called anti lock braking system or abs.
Keep calm during emergency braking and just stamp the brake pedal firmly until the situation is under control

Sorry for digging an old thread but I've always felt my 2013 honda city braked are not up to the mark. I always feel the tires lock straightaway when brakes are applied on 80-100km speed. Is anyone else having this problem? Should I get it checked from Honda? I'm pretty sure my car's ABS is not working

If the tires lock often on application of brakes then it could be an issue with tires. The rubber is too dry and does not stick well with the road and skids

Thanks. Tires seem fine to me @40k. I'll probably get brake pads checked and replaced tomorrow as I have to go north on Thursday. Lets see what Honda says.

swift has 2 wheels disk abs and at rear electronic brake force distribution from what i know in disk brakes abs works by the pads tapping the disk to not lock up the wheel by varying pressure while in drum breaks rear specially the brake force is adjusted accordingly with some valve precisely to compensate lockup [force as in preassure of hydraulic fluid] .. as someone mentioned it must be a 3 channel abs unit plus you never hear tuk tuk sound from drum breaks when abs is on moreover ebd is working even before abs is active continuously monitoring and distributing front and back breaking pressure

electronic brake force is a part of abs .. i think drum brakes are not made that way so they dont operate by the pads tapping the breaking surface repeatedly like disk during abs activation so instead brake preassure is adjusted

EBD uses some valve or something to precisely adjust the preassure

abs with ebd helps the rear wheels t0 not lockup and adjust brake force acordingly ebd works for rear wheels while abs is there when any wheel lockup occurs and as mostly front wheel lockup occurs
