Default City 2005 Vario + Jhatkas + Help needed

i have a 2005 city vario with 59K on the clock. i bought it abt a mnth ago, it was fine then, gave it for serivice etc, got transmission fluid refilled and 60,000kms chk frm honda but after all this i have strted getting jerks while driving. I took it to honda they inspected and said they left some plug loose, drove it for a week, jerks were minimized but they have resurfaced again, cud it be transmission, cud it be loose plugs (doesnt make much sense to me), help needed!!

Are the jerks related to gear changes or do they occur at any time?

how to definitively figure out trasmisiion related jerks from the rest?

they do occur upon acceleration which may be gives a reason to think they r related to gear switiching but they do occur at other times aswell!

btw gear related jerks wud/shud remain or they cud be cured?

I think what you have is a CVT, and thus it can be difficult to differentiiate gearbox jerks from engine jerks.

One way would be to manually select the ranges as you are driving to force the CVT to change ratios and see how smoothly it does that.

The CVT is very sensitive to the quality and level of the fluid.

hey i m facing the very same problem in ym honda city, though its manual tranny, and is on cng,hav got it checkd by so many cng mechanics, got it tuned by them, but the problem somehow persists..
the jerk i get in my car is not related to gear shifting,it happens when i press the gas pedal, usually in 1st and 2nd gear,as if the fuel has stopped coming or then comes in a gush, but the jerk is so strong that u can actually feel ur body move with it.its so annoying coz the cng guys r themselves unable to figure out..can it be sth related to the emulator malfuntioning?or coils?or plugs?

its on petrol and never driven on cng ever.

Additionally, it was perfectly fine a mnth ago before i got the service and fluids checked.

foe tranmmission fluid since it was alreadt 59kms i was recommended by honda to get the CVT fluid re-filled which i got it done along with service from them.

For the automatic one, I remember a few days ago I was sitting somewhere and a guy told me that his issue was resolved after he put mobil's gear oil in his car.
For the manual one, why not get the injectors cleaned? The jerks can also be checked from the mixer, the brass screw which is located at the back of the kit. You can do it yourself. Just move it counter clockwise until the car starts to give little missing jerks while at idle speed and then slightly move it counter clockwise till the jerks are eliminated but it should be a slow process because if tightened more than that, the pick up would suffer. Where the jerks are slightly noticeable, get to the adjuster knob and move it either way to eliminate them and that too, slowly.

Thank you for letting us know as well. Good to know your car was fixed, and it turned out to be engine jerks rather than transmission jerks.
