Default Good CNG pumps in your city

Good CNG is rare thes days as people mix air into CNG. Can you guys comment on good CNG pumps in your cities.
Share you personel experience from your own city.

self edit... PSO jhanda chichi was good but now their quality is not the same, pressure is low as compared to other stations. there is alway few cars ahead of you. in winter long lines, you have to wait for 4-5 hours.

I prefer to go to to Grace, national or caltex after sawan bridge if i am in the vicinity

Default CNG Pumps in Twin Cities (My Experience)

Well the best so far for me is TM CNG on ISB Expressway but listed below are very good too:

    1) Shell Pump Defence Chowk( Average: Used to be pretty good initially then quality fell but discount creeped in so was pretty usefull even then but now with no discount NOT RECOMMENDED)

    2) Caltex CNG After swan bridge adjoining Pak Suzuki Motors ( GOOD: Recommended but do not buy any thing from their shop its Over Priced )

    3) National CNG after Swan Bridge on left( Average)

    4) Al-Basit CNG after leaving Bahria Town Phase 8 entrance on g.t road( Ver GOOD these days my destination for CNG nowadays)

    5) PSO PUMP Jhanda Chichi: (GOOD)

ALL in ALL i havent seen a cng pump mainting its quality over a long period of time. PSO Jhanda has to be acclaimed for maininting its quality uptill now.

If resident in the whereabouts of swan bridge i can fully recommend al basit cng now a days but do keep a watch and if u feel depretiation in quality u can switch to any other mentioned above.

By The Way people can also mention their average though it depends on other factors too.

I have a cultus december 2005 with 50 kg cylinder.

Car's average in winter is 210-225(local)

Car's Average in Summer is 165-185(local)

l0cation:-wah cantt,on gt road, near brahma bahatar motorway turn.when u come from isb it comes on left.
    name:- shah alam cng
description:- it is small gas station, but its does big.they have chilled gas.at temps of 19c and when your car gets filled its upto 25c.pressure is always 220 maintained.even at peak hours u wont get less pressure.your car has quick refil.
when you check milage it confirms that above knowledge is true.
one more gas station i would like to mention is TIGER cng.comes at burhan.when u cross harro tol tax comming from peshawar it comes on left side.it has same quality of gas as shah alam.
NOTE:-kindly dont make transactions with cpl cng.(the ppl of wah must be knowing).they have substandard equipments.pressure always l0w.and gas is always at 35c above.once i noticed it was 62c.
and when u have gas with high temps u get low milage.

well it is not by choice that their are l0ng lanes of cars waiting t0 get refilled.it is just that ppl find convienient that just before getting on motorway car gets refilled so that their is no tension on motorway that u run outa fuel.
n usually ive noticed that these pumps make compromises on fuel quality cuz they have l0ads of sale in couple of hour which an ordianary gas pump wount make even in day...
i hope you got what i m trying to say.hope this helps

I am in Karachi presently and I have found that my car works fine on CNG that I fill from generally any CNG pump in the city. However, in the Punjab areas I have to be very selective. Once I filled up near Gujranwala and my car refused to go above 60 km/h and this has happened to me in Lahore too. But in Karachi I have had no problem from any pump. I generally fill up from Sharae Faisal pumps. So far all were good with no special drawbacks.

    Sir,
I wish to correct a misguided idea in minds of lot of people.
You mention in your post "as people mix air into CNG" . Let me assure you that technically this is impossible.
The gas pipeline coming into a CNG station from SNGPL or SSGPL is a high pressure line, this pipe goes into the CNG compressor, where its further compressed upto 250 bars pressure. This high pressure gas is stored in the storage cylinders. From their it goes to the dispensers, and then into your car. The maximum filling pressure at dispenser is 200 bars.
The issues or problems at times faced by CNG users can be the following :
    a. The number of customers at a station is high, so gas does not remains for long into storage cylinders. Please note that the compressed gas is hot, and the heated gas takes more volume inside your vehicle cylinder. It means that you will get less gas filled into your car if the temperature of gas is high.
    b. Unclean filters. The compressed gas has some content of oil. If the filters of a CNG station are not regularly cleaned, then oil travels with CNG to your vehicle cylinder. In this case due to oil collecting in your cylinder, lesser space is left for filling gas.
    c. Chemical composition and GCV <gas caloric="" value=""> varies from region to region. In Pakistan, the gas supplied to everybody in the area from Jhelum to Peshawar has higher GCV, than the has supplied between Multan to Jhelum. Lesser GCV means your vehicle or kitchen stove or geyser will need more gas to produce the same energy.

If you have any other queries, about gas quality, please feel free to post here.

    Regards.

I always try to refill my car from TM CNG. It is near Khana Pul. If you are driving on Islamabad ExpressWay, going from Faizabad towards Khana Pul, then after passing Zia Masjid, you can see TM CNG on your left. This CNG gives very good mileage and the pick of the car is also good.
