most probably the wiring is there - just tucked away inside the loom. and you would have wires with permanent fused positive in the trunk anyway just use those - trace to which fuse they are connected to (multimeter is the best)
I dont believe that the city would be having a multiplexer like the civic - you cant go wrong.
btw - Atlas Honda should come up with very good explanations of why they went backwards with this stuff.

no trunk light
no bumper braces
I would suggest you (owners talk to them) OR when you are buying your new car - get them to install all this - they should as you are paying full money, Ive had Toyota Eastern install a similar trunk light in a 100 series diesel corolla and the hood insulation pad - as the showroom floor car had it, while the one I was buying did not. THEY DID - these car sales guys are not all honest (including managers etc)
