    Get the throttle body cleaned. There is a sensor attached below the TB (don't know what the knowledgables call it). Make sure it gets cleaned too.

    I too am an owner of Honda City and faced the same annoying problem. After a couple thousand rounds to mechanics and cng tuneups, I finally got the culprit..... a choked air sensor under the throttle body. After a thorough cleanup the car purrs very very elegantly at idle now

    P.S.

    P.S. II

    the 'sensor i was referring to is called 'Idle Air Control Valve' and is located under the TB

    TB=Throttle Body
    The body (metallic part) where air goes in from the air filter and where your accelerator wire ends. Hope you got it

    rpm metrer fluctuating in honda city -171709
    The part attached between the air filter body (black plastic part which houses air filter) and the engine is throttle body (marked with red circle). I think it is called the same in desi terms also and most of the mechanics know about it

    Dear Just share what does Throttle Positioning do and whats its importance..........I also have Honda City 2005 and I have the same problem of RPM, at times my car idles accurately at 900 RPM and at times it automatically drops (both on CNG and PETROL) and at time it automatically goes beyond 1100 or 1200 rpm (PETROL AND CNG)......please advise so that i could get it adjusted...........
