Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

I also faced the same problem during Summer I thought that it is because of inferior quality plastic material used in steering but it disappeared in a day or so ...... So do not worry

I also owned Suzuki Cultus few years back if someone told me that there is noise in left door of your car than I respond like this
"Yaar this is not the fault this is a feature of Suzuki"

If so many persons are facing the same problem than we should not worry about it
"it may be a feature of CITY"

    Cheeeeeerrrrrsss

guys there is absolutely no need to panic on this.i hope u ve already figured it out but if not, let me explain.

you all know that steering wheel needs a constant supply of electric current to keep the horn alive.but u also know that steering wheel always remains in circular motion so no solid connections can be made with to to provide current.thats why they connect the steering piece with the steering coulmn ( for electric current) with a small metal strip which keeps on running on the metallic circular strip of the steering wheel. this way, the steering is always in connection with the electrical circuit for horn even if its being turned.
i made a pic to illustrate what im talking about here.

    Noise in City2010 steering -184509

now the problem is that somehow the grece which keeps the two rubbing smoothly drys out sumhow, may be they dont use enough of it or may be they dont use it at all.so all u have to do is get it greaced and it ll be gone for ever.nothing to worry about.

    1. Installing CNG voids warranty of related parts only, not of the entire car. I have a City 2010 too and had changed the horn. It has void the electric warranty only.

    2. I experienced the noise too and it stopped somehow on its own.

My car is driven 16k Km now and I am perfectly satisfied with it alhamdolillah.

I asked the service adviser at Honda regarding any implications to the warranty from changing the horn and was told that as long as you don't cut any original wires/harness it wont void the warranty.

i've faced the same sound as well... but its some sort of a metal thats touching other metal without lubrication at a single point... this means that something is touching and than touching again and agian... sounds like thhesh turn turn turn thesh turn turn turn thesh....

car is less than 3000km driven... i guess there is no such thing as workmanship in these cars.

however the solution is still unknown as this sound is not prominent and continuous... with my car... will try evaluating the cause... and let you knwo...

Don't worry about this noise, this noise is of metal strips installed under horn to give power to horn, there is little grees put between those metal strips and its connector and when that grees goes away it give that sound.

They are no using any power cable for horn, if you want to get rid of that noise, simple visit any Honda Service shop and told them about this and they will pull up the horn cover and installed more grees there.
