    Thumbs up Good news for city 2009-10 owners

    Today I got OEM Guard filters for Honda City 2009 & beyond model.
    These are Air filter cost only Rs: 320/- & Oil filter Rs: 210/- .
    At Honda workshop OEM Air-filter Rs:1280/- & Oil-filter Rs: 980/-
    I saved 2260-530= 1730 rupees. If I change (as condition depend) air-filter after 5000 km and oil-filter after 5000 km (absolutely) my saving is double than workshop provided filters. Pictures for reference as following;

    Brother,
    When I changed oil filter at 10,000 km I found it is Guard filter i.e. company fitted filter is of Guard company.
    surely the air filter is of Thailand made but it runs only 15000 km (company manual says 40,000 km) So why not use Guard filter, change it on 10,000 km and price is 1/3.

    Brother, Original air filter is wet (Oil Sprayed) and Guard is dry filter.
    Honda technicians said wet filter do not allow a single dust particle to go into the protected area which is very sensitive.
    Choice is yours whether to take risk or not.

    The Honda engine is just like any other engine.

    Not some 'very sensitive' speciality in the engine.

    They are simply ripping off people.

    If your not okay wiht Guard, get ViC oil filter which is far better than the 'OEM' stuff Honda sells.
