    keep it on petrol dear.. it will easily give 15+ after running is complete ..zic is awesome ...
    if u install cng u will easily spend 60000rp on that.. in 60000 u can do lots of travelling on petrol + after installing cng more problems +less pick + n cng will also cost some money so in my opinion dont go for it..

    If you do cost benefit analysis I think both CNG n Petrol are somewhat equal. Petrol cost is offset by the upfront payment that you have to make to install CNG Kit.

    At the end choice is yours whatever suits you the best but I wont recommend it installing it before 5,000 Km.

    @city11,
    your car is under 1000 km, complete it 1000 and check from honda 3S, oil will be changed after 5000 km.
    My suggestion is to read car manual and booklet for servicing and initially use honda synthetic oil from 3S and after 10k to 15k install cng.

    @city11

    Lots of congratulations on your new city. Kindly update me on your mileage once you get it converted to CNG. InshAllah Ill be buying a City soon and intend to use it on CNG because petrol prices are already at 80.

    well City 11....

    i would agree with recommendations by everyone "NOT" in favor of CNG. And like many said, its milage will keep on optimizing when you reach 5000KM on the odometer. I usually pre-heat my car before putting it into D (drive) waiting for that blue cold engine light to turn off. Even then it gives me 11.8 Km. Also its running on 195 width tyres (stock size is 175).

    You may get a good CNG kit (lets say you go for the best i.e. Gas Injector Kit or OMEGAS by Landi Renzo) that would have a great pick-up but it would cost you 75k minimum. Also you would be sacrificing on engine warranty, Monday-Tuesday Gas Load Shedding. Plus long queues.......Think abt it.....You didnt spend 1.4 million for nothing.......Enjoy it.....Rest is your choice.....

    And as for the ZIC product.....Mr. Jahangir2009 suggested you the right choice.....

    However a fellow PW member "SK ZIC" suggests using latest ZIC OW API SN 0W-30
    It actually exceeds the cold oil viscosity requirements by honda..."10W".. and meets the hot oil viscosity requirement "-30"

    Note: I have'nt used ZIC......I'll stick with Honda for the 5000 KM change just to keep the warranty for engine and transmission....Then at 10'K km, i'll think about ZIC.....

    Bhia stick to one oil.

    Zic A+ then A after few thousand. Dont do this. Id only recommend shifting to a thicker 10w/40 oil like Zic A after 100,000+

    Does the warranty gets void if you do not use Honda oil and use some other engine oil like Zic or Caltex?

    Yes it does speedster.........Ask any Honda or Toyota Dealership.....wouldnt even look in the engine bay (warranty case) when they know its CNGed or its air/oil filter or engine oil is other than HONDA Supplied....

    You replace stock tyres with different size or use alloys ....there goes your suspension warranty...

    You install key less entry, there goes your central locking warranty (not the whole wiring).....

    You install high amp load (like an AMPLIFIER or anything) there goes your electrical system warranty....

    Its not like a break down of cases mentioned on customer terms of use.....its just they need an excuse not having to entertain the claim by pointing out errors at your end.....

    When i bought Honda....they clearly mentioned that the faults arising from NON-Honda technicians and NON-Honda parts in other areas of the same system (suspension, electrical, engine, transmission) wouldnt be covered in warranty.........

    Its fair.....pretty fair to the car, pretty fair to country's energy resources, and pretty fair to our everyday without purpose driving habits.....

    When its on petrol.....you would think thrice taking it out just to fetch some grocery.......You would not keep engine running while someone fetches your cell phone which you just forgot before leaving to office( in ur case...a university may be)......you would turn the AC off on signals when you'd see a biker standing besides you getting toasted in your cars heat, thinking its for everyones best....

    You Would Brother....You would!!!!!!!

    Kher baat bohat door nikal gaee topic se.................and I am 90% sure you have a positive mind towards CNG......So wish you good luck.......
