Default Problem in L15a1 Vtec Swapped City

    Salaams Guys!

I recently swapped my o4 City iDSI with L15a1 1.5 Vtec of the local Steermatic and JDM Honda Fit and Jazz with Manual tranny ECU and on stock Manual tranny.
The problem I am facing is that the car denies to Rev above 4000 RPM. It looks like the fuel cut off at redline. The wiring was complete uncut with the engine. Got new exhaust manifold for O2 sensor aswell. Besides the 4000RPM cutoff, I am facing missing and bad idling..

I require expertise suggestions here. Spent more than 50K on an engine that denies to Rev. Looking forward to expertise and valuable suggestions.

I've checked and rechecked and 37820-PWC-905 came stock with in the Honda Fit/Jazz with CVT and the Non-VTEC L15A. So we're at a loss on both ends.

Either you get it swapped with VTEC L15A ecu or you engage vtec via a vtec controller with seperate wires running to it. Its you're call. The first option would be cheaper and on your vendor's responsibilty, so i'd recommend you try that first.

Noobish and kind of offtopic question.

    1) i have seen almost every one is having ECU problem in these types of swaps.
    2) mostly i have also heard that on the big diesel engines they are being swapped/used with other fuel pumps.
    3) there is No certain guarantee of engine condition that it is better then the one being replaced.

But if one Imports engine from Japan these problems are not faced.

basic question here is that HOW much is the Price difference between Japan imported engine and local engine bought from bilal gunj/shobha/shershah is the Price doubled or even more.
    RIP

my bad on the 4, I do recall working on the Honda Citys while recalibrating their first clutches or unfiddling the wiring under the steering and glovebox - and they had 5 plugs for the CVT and 4 for the M/T however I did come across some oddball JDM engines with 4 plug ECUs running CVT.

actually when you post your swap at "steermatic fan club"" you informed next day you are gona swap thats why I kept quite with finger crossed
Current steermatic engine & ECU will no way coup up with manual tranky, steermatic is equipped with sophisticated sensor's so I think you need to completely get rid of current setup of ECU , kill all the sensor system's and I hope with the help of @machizmo & manual L15 engine ECU you will solve the problem.
    Good luck

I'll have a hard time finding a manual ECU for the L15a1. However, I have searched and learned that D16Y, The engine in 2001-2005 Civic VTi also run's on OBD2a ECU. I will be available aswell because it was used locally..

What do you and other experts say?
Both have same single stage Vtec and ECU pinouts are same aswell...

are you sure the pin outs are same?, both are different generation engines and i think that they will different in sensors too.
its all about power to weight ratio...
