    @wahaj_skyline

    Please Google "knocking".

    @city11

    Most probably because of low quality fuel. Hopefully nothing to do with the engine and about being "low quality" engines, the engine isn't manufactured locally.

    Dont worry; your car will start behaving better...

    - When visiting Honda service centre for free services; especially 5000; ask them to do computer checking and also tell them your problem; they do some sort of tests and reprogram few things after which things become much better
    - Dont use Honda lubricant; try using some synthetic...personally used Helix Ultra.
    - Avoid CNG as much as possible...if not; atleast for first 15,000Kms

    No need to mix Hi Octane or anything...try to get the fuel from some company operated pump!

    Don't need to worry knocking is normal phenomene of IC (internal combustion) engines.
    It occur due to some different octanes no of petroliums.

    Mix 15 liters of hi octane for next two to three fill ups.
    I personally experience the same issue in my city 2008.

    When put hi octane and that too from company operated pumps of PSO, all knocking is gone.

    CNG never causes an engine to knock. Super has an octane numbr of around 89, HOBC 92 and CNG 106. The higher the octane number the lesser it will cause knocking. But I agree that you should have the car checked by Honda for any possible deficiency.

    That is a very good chemical property of CNG. Smooth drive.

    well if a brand new (2011 !) model city engine is knocking, the overall petrol quality is to be blamed. no need for hioctane, super is quite fine for these engines. first change your petrol station and check, otherwise start using LX additive by adding into the petrol... LX will help to smoothen the drive and eliminate or minimize knocking quite safely, while also keeping the engine clean and efficient. You will also feel more power boost when driving at any RPMs, especially the low RPMs and Low gears.

    yaar the new city is euro 4 and it requires good quality fuel so as said above u should add up 20-30% hi octane this issue has been discussed in many new city topics. find ur self a good pump also total has the worst petrol as by my experience and ppl say techron by caltex is good but its too dry,,,, and by my experience shell gives the best mileage,,,,

    Never fill petrol from PSO. Always use Shell or caltex from a well reputed petrol station. For a start mix petrol with Hi octane (50/50) and fill up the tank and drive for 500 kms. If the problem doesn't go away, have the vehicle software updated from your nearest Honda dealer. As far as I know, they do it for free if the vehicle's under warranty.
