Thread: Honda City RPM Problem plzzzzzzzz helpp...

    Default Honda City RPM Problem plzzzzzzzz helpp...

    My City 2005 model decrease RPMs when i turn on the AC. RPMs are stable on nonAc. in short i cant drive my car with Ac. throttle body serviced many times. all sensors are serviced many times and are on working condition. there is no Check Engine light in my meter.... my mechanic said to sell the car, he cant fix the problem... ECM se bhi RPM barhaai thay, laikin mazaa nahi aa raha, genuine condition nahi hay....

    Well, I have faced the similar issue on my city 2007 and have discovered that throttle body of City is very sensitive. Normally what I do is that I keep a bottle of WD 70 with me and occasionally after every 1000 or 2000 km after I spray that inside the throttle body and clean it with a cloth without consulting a mechanic.

    It is very easy to reach the throttle body if you have the right tools.

    Thats how i experience a remarkable difference in performance as compared to before and after the operation.

    See, now it just strengthens the fact that you have a faulty or incompatible IACV as I mentioned in the other thread of yours.

    Get that checked and you'll be good.

    IACV problem for sure.
    This valve is not manging enough air that requires to stabilize the RPM with AC at idle.

    check the A/C panel working - a good workshop can test it. It maybe that the ECU was changed and some wiring also fiddled with during the car's life.

    Bhai you should use paragraphs while writing long stories it becomes very difficult for the reader. Now coming to the problem. How much is your car driven and if the problem is only on CNG than your car is fine. First of all get the complete AC serviced than try to retune the CNG its simple the problem will be gone

    Get your IACV cleaned. It is connected to the intake mainfold, and just to the right of the main block, and is silvery metal so you'll be able to identify it easily.

    I had the EXACT same problem as you. Got my IACV cleaned today, which was filled with "kachra" (rubbish). As soon as it cleaned and reconnected, the car started easily and smoothly without any RPM problems. I even start my car on AC with fan speed 4, and the RPMs stay stable. So go for it as soon as possible.

    I paid 500 for whole computerised cleaning + cleaning the IACV. Alone, it should cost between 250-300 and take about 45 mins.

    buy a carburetor cleaner (Rs:250-350)
    Open up IACV , its at the back of throttle body , spray the carb cleaner the black matter thing will go off and also spray it on the hole where IACV is taking air in clean it with a cloth or tissue paper , screw up IACV back , and ur done !!

    Thats how i resolve my civics's bad idle rpm which was only when running on CNG.
