    Default City2000 Performance

    Hey everyone!
I have a Honda City 2000. Currently running on CNG but i want to improve its performance on a low budget at the moment
Would a bigger muffler help? because sometimes when i rev it feels like something is choking the engine and its not running up to its full potential.
Please help and suggest some upgrades that i can do

He wants to add all these mods on an 11 year old engine with CNG. I am no expert but i think these mods will be accompanied by a lot of excessive revving and RPM levels of 5k-6k. Besides not every one has the ability to keep their car properly tuned, like our friend here, his car is already choking which is most probably a tuning issue and he wants to rectify it by adding an exhaust (no offense) . Adding 5 extra mods will increase the complexity and confusion under and outside the hood.

@JZ I prefer running the car as stock as possible because i hate see someone cutting and jumping wires and drilling holes here n there. Getting CNG was the hardest thing i ever had to do and that was in my mehran 8 years ago. Every car i bought after that came with CNG Kit pre installed but i still hate them specially in EFI cars. Yes 95bhp i enough for me because i can keep up with the retard in the rear view mirror driving an xli with crazy high beams.

i run my cars cng free,i am anti cng,but even then the stuff works with cng
no excessive reving wont cover it up,
leme try to explain it to u
for example a cold air intake is added for better air inflow, that helps in better breathing of the engine,n helps in giving economy as well.
same way all the mods if added wud help the car's engine to perform better n breathe n exhale easily, which is good for the engine not bad, most of these parts are bolt on,no cutting drilling etc is required
check my cars n read out all the info regarding performance & economy n ull get a clear idea

My car does not exactly CHOKE but sometimes it gives the feeling that its not running up to its full potential. Dont know how to explain that.. but i do think its because maybe the air flow isnt smooth enough? I will get my tuning checked soon.

Did you recently change your air filter or got it cleaned?

All i am saying is, i dont disagree that installing all these mods will/may increase your cars performance and efficiency. But if you don't have the time, understanding and a proper mechanic to fix the accompanied issues you will end up being more dissatisfied. People are still solving RPM issues on CNG, every third post on PW is about cars not maintaining RPMs.

Adding all this equipment to your daily runner does'nt make sense. For me, i drive around 25 Km daily to work and back during rush hours. Any mods id ever like would be the ones that can improve my mileage.

Yaar sometimes on CNG when i clean or replace my air filter after a long time the car kinds of starts to suffocate specially after shifting to 2nd and 3rd gears on low RPMS. I usually correct this problem by getting my CNG settings adjusted. Some people change the amount of blockage to the intake that also solves the problem.

Hows your performance on petrol ?

I respect your opinion as well, alot will agree that these mods do improve mileage. If engine will breath better and expel gases better, then the reflex on engine will be obviously positive. No worries or extra maintenance required.

58K on the clock. i can post pics of DIY on moday cuz goin out now for weekend

Its a choke cable, a butterfly in intake pipe, when i push the choke (Close position) the butterfly opens fully for maximum intake, while when i switch to cng, i gently pull the choke cable and adjust where cng starts to perform well.
