    Default Honda City Speed Meter Problem

    Hi guys,
    i have city idsi 2004 model. the problem is while m driving the car the speed meter needle just drops down to zero and it shows the Orange light the one it only shows for some time when u r starting ur car. what can be the problem.because after some times it start working again or i have to restart the car to make it work again.

    Hi, Seems to be an issue with ECU of the car.. I recommned to get this checked from a authorised Honda 3S place...

    disconnect the battery for a few minutes so that the ecu is reset then reconnect and check if it worked.

    if it is issue with ECU ....any idea how much it will cost me.

    The orange light that you are referring to is the check engine light. Have your car checked on a scanner. Even if its a faulty ecu get it from kabar rather then buying a new one since these engines are now readily available in the 2nd hand market.

    I think you are refering to MIL (Malfunction Indication Lamp) which is basically a group alarm(e.g may speed sensor fault etc) and is stored in ECU. The honda guys have device that can read it.
