If u really Love ur car then i would suggest u not to go for that rim size. 15's or max 16's ll be enough.

if you plan on dirving it in pakistan, then dont go for 40 or 45.
17 itself will ruin your ride quality, a profile lower than 50 is suicide for car's suspension.

Use 15". More than that will hurt your car.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

    is 205/45/R17 ok???

bros, the size, height, circumference etc, all are exactly the same as the stock tire... hardly a difference of 2%...

I just wanted to go for a larger rim and a lower profile in order to increase my road grip and brake performance....

i guess the most appropriate tire and rim size for your car would be 205/60R16 or 205/55R16. I have 205/60R16 tires and believe me it's ideal for new model of new civic as it looks great and also the drive remains smooth without the feeling of hardness. Go for 55 or 60 profile with 16'' rims and you'll love the looks and also the drive won't be too hard.

    regards.

yup the car in my avatar is the one i drive... i am using dunlop lemans 702 which are due a change. The size is 205/60R16 and to me that's the best rim and tire size for the 8th gen. civic, even in developed countries civic comes with 16'' rims and 205/60R16 tires from the factory.

btw on my other white 8th gen. civic i am Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 tires which are sized at 205/65R15.

    regards.

Lower profile with 205 will give great road grip but the drive will become harsh. My bro has 205 tires in his city, road grip wise no issues but of course now he slows does for every little bump or khuda in the road.
