How much water do you loose everyday ?

Are you using normal water in the cooling system ? Normal water causes rust and corrosion and you might have damaged the water pump. Is the car heating up?

I have the same car and went through a similar experience. Alot of Mechanics said that i need a gasket job but turned out my water pump was bad. It had no impellers left and was also leaking a little bit.

If you are loosing two litres then you should see water and oil mixing togethr in the rad and in the oil dipstick. You can also check for choclate milk shake type paste under the oil cap. If you don't have such symptoms then you have a leak.

I replaced the Pump & T-Belt , costed me around 4k total. If your car is heating up badly then stop driving it because if you havnt yet screwd ur gasket , you u will eventually then u will have to replace the gasket , get the head milled and fix the reason for leakag.

Ask the mechanic to check for free flow of water in the rad. If the pump is bad you would not see the water flowing. Check heater hoses and rads lower hose for tiny leakages.

Check around the soldered part of rad for moisture or rust marks. If you cant find any leakages then add cheap Osaka coolant bottle in the rad, it will leave marks at leakage points. I don't think you have a bad gasket cuz u're loosing alot of water and if its not mixing with oil. Also check your exhaust for white smoke and moisture.
