Default clutch plates new honda city

    Dear All,

Somehow i screwed my honda city 2010 clutch plates (i dont drive with half clutch pressed nor i do it in hilly areas). Thing is honda guys are charging me 22.340k and local mechanics will do the job in 18sh thousand. what will be the difference in both? Shall i give honda 5k labour or i can go to other mechanics?

    P.S
how is auto club in i9?

Hondas come with a three year warranty. Should this not be repaired under cover of the warranty?

i clocked 61k kms, warranty is gone as i dont have the warranty card. iv driven it with care but dont know how it happened though im always the first one to disapear from the signal when it becomes green but i think 0 to 100 thingy has nothing to do with clutch plates or im wrong? clutch is at when u release the clutch 75%the car starts moving before it was at 45 percent i think dont rememeber.

Hey Bro, I have a 2008 Civic manual. I took it to murree and my badluck i couldent turn the car around and i had to reverse going up a steephill, and i burned my clutch plates. It had enough clutch to drive back to islamabad. I called honda and they gave me a price of 34k including labor, cluth plate, pressure plate, and the thrust bearing. I said screw that, i bought the original plate set for 8800, and labour was 3000. And everything was good. Soo i spent 11800 compared to honda 34000. Hope it helps.

You clocked 61,000 Km in 2010 model car. Your signature and clocked mileage are totally opposite

yes everything. honda guys are ripping us off like anything. i was hesitant that how on earth you are charging me 15k for everything while only parts from honda are of 17k ish...he said verify our parts from honda and if they say its not original thn we are responsible for the loss. BTW honda charges 5k for labour n they charged me nothing due to a reference warna 21k bill bana tha autoclub may bhe.

Honda guys gave you an estimate of 22K and the AutoClub printed a bill of 21K. You gave them 15K because of a reference. Otherwise the difference is only 1K, so I guess that if you don't have a reference, its better to go to Honda.

i did the same! bought parts for my city idsi from open market (got best available F.C.C brand) and got them replaced by my old mechanic.
i dont know why people blindly trust honda/toyota/suzuki 3S dealers JUST because they are authorized... i mean, its Pakistan, authorized doesnt always mean they have the best mechanics! NEVER take a car to a mechanic that u dont know... unless he holds a good repute...

    Agreed with this statement.
So from now. I also have to be careful regarding it's clutch. Because I'm the first one to disappear from signal too.. DAMN 21 thousand for clutch plates. .
