I'll say keep the colour temperature between 4300-5000k for good visibility, anything above that is more or less a waste of money, 4300k is the factory color, they're the brightest among all and they're closest to the combination of sunlight you can get (I say this because the human eye views best in sunlight).

Oh and yes they're available easily

It may look good to some people, true. BUT I'll totally disagree that 6000-8000k give better visibility. Remember, the higher the color temperature, the lower the visibility, it's a fact understood worldwide .

another very clear difference in hid and halogen projectors is that the reflector bowl on halogen projectors is in circular shape while in HID ones its in oval shape

bro to be very honest with you i think HID's are a waste of money and getting peoples curse.

i come across so many cars who have HID's installed in them with reflectors and i don't know what sort of curses i give to them, obviously because i lose vision of the road because of them. brother first of all it is very dangerous because the other driver in-front of you loses vision of the road. no matter even its for a second, on the road accidents happens in seconds and not minutes. one single mistake and that's it. it could cost lives.

if you think that the stock lamps do not have enough light then you can try the bulbs with higher power ratings and also there are bulbs with diamond white colour which may give you the look of hid. but please avoid getting hid's.

also i think modifying your headlights just to get HID is insanity because nothing can beat the stock settings. for cars with stock hid installed are the ones who shall keep hid's.

sorry if my post was offensive but brother that's a fact trust me.

^ or at least do what i did in my city. installed hids in a reflector BUT adjusted its high beam equivalent to its low beam and low beam works for 10 feet max! In other words i have Low beam only no high beam so even if u stand infront of my car it wont blind u n u can literally stare. as hids are for SHASKA only so once its adjust towards the road as near as possible the road is illuminated with dense white light which gives a very cool look and a smile on the on comig drivers face!
Your grandchildren will likely find it incredible - or even sinful - that you burned up a gallon of gasoline to fetch a pack of cigarettes!
