Thread: City 2005 IDSI automatic fuel performance

    Exclamation City 2005 IDSI automatic fuel performance

    Dear All, I've changed the Engine Oil (Hav. Formula) and trasmission from caltex pet. pump with Oil/Air filter. all 8 plugs replaced with new NGK's. its auto tran. 2005 iDSI City. and gives 10-11/ ltr in Islamabad city.

    Can you give me suggestions, what should i do to increase the performance.

    its without ac and rpm is normally about 2k and no harsh driving i.e. accelerating smoothly and no sudden breaks

    Avg. speed is 60 and its fuel consump. avg is 10 km/ltr with 1/2 persons.. no CNG installed

    What? I have 2004 city idsi vario and it gives me 13/14km per ltr in city
    ALONE
    BUT HAPPY

    change the air filter... get complete tuning down... search for "honda city fan club" in the forums and read the last part of the main post... u ll know what tuning to do at what mileage... if u havent done any of that (other then transmission related) then it might be the cause of bad mileage... also check the tire pressure of ur car. if they are not worn out, maintain 30psi in all 4 of them.

    Bro i bought 2006 vario 1 month ago and its also on petrol i m getting same average....10-11km/litre in city Islamabad and moterway 12.5km/l when i keep it under 2000 rmp without A/c......i m also very disappointed with its average.... i got tune my car from honda i-10 including air filter replaced by honda original parts tappet adjusted and thorrtle cleanup after tuning diagnostic with computer software result was car is normal but still on same position.... may be due to CVT transmission vario gives this average
    i know some people who r driving IDSI manual on petrol they says we get approx 18km/l on highway.....
