Default Honda City ?Engine rebuild or swap?

My Honda City 2005 is reducing oil. Oil is coming in the Air filter but no smoke and no oil in plugs. Please suggest, I should rebuild the engine or swap the engine with kaabli one. What will be the price for rebuild and kaabli Engine from bilal gunj.

You dont have to fully rebuild the engine just the head job and stock genuine rings will be enough. This engine of yours I think is never opened before so I will suggest do this half rebuild and if you use genuine parts and proper work it will be good for another 3 to 4 years.

One more thing get the compression test done so u know what actually is wrong with the engine.

don't do any thing in haste. first of all, do what maaya767 has suggested. he has also mentioned:

'oil sump where the filter is located'

most probably it will solve your problem. if it doesn't, then:

    1. get a compression test

    2. get all the engine seals checked

    3. get the valve seals checked

    4. look for any other oil leakage, clean the engine, look for leaks, inspect the area where you park your car.

i won't recommend changing the assembly, the biggest problem that would arise is that if you get a new assembly, you get a new engine number, which would then be changed in the car documents and it would create a problem when you'd want to sale this car. secondly, getting a new assembly doesn't mean that you are getting a 'new' assembly. if everything fails, get your engine checked for where the fault lies and get that work done using quality replacement parts from authorized honda outlets.

What maaya767 has suggested is related to the oil filter. My problem is that, oil is coming in air filter. there is no oil leakage, i have already checked. valve seals are ok as they are new.

    did u check the compression?
if the engine was never damaged from overheating you can try by replacing rings

but instead of full rebuild swap is better
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....
