^^ family sedans are not bought on the basis of 0-100kmph timings...if u wana go for something with 0-100 timing....go for RX8 in that price tag...!!

11 seconds to be exact with proper shifting.
With stage 1 mods. It goes in less than 10 seconds.

I said 11 seconds for a normal car with poper shifting till 6500rpm.
10 seconds for a city with stage 1(upgraded) mods.
and I'm owning this car. So that's why I quoted 11 seconds.

Ok thanks dude for telling me i completely trust you that it does 0-100 kmh in 11 secs however in my opinion it isn't that fast because i think it does it like 12-12.5 seconds

Anyways can you tell me that are you impressed by the performance of this 1.3 i-vtec???

aaah... tell me one thing dude... what are u gonna do with this car? use itfor travelling or for drag racing? may be racing on tracks?

If you are gonna by it as a normal daily driven car, then trust me, there are VERY FEW cars used as daily drivers that have the ability to smoke this city...

It pulls hard neck to neck with the new altis 6-speed manual 1.6 upto 150kmh.

It can also stay neck to neck with most of the reborn prosmatecs out there...

    as for corolla vs this,

u just gotta keep it maintained and in good nick whatever you do...

P.S. I have got a 2012 city, thats why I am saying all this...

    False.

@poster: seriously what are you thinking by giving so much importance to 0-100 timing? It's not like you're competing at the Autocross or anything.

It's a compact family sedan, you shouldn't expect anything lower than 11 seconds from it. That too after practice and good shifting, with raging hormones it should be around 13-14 seconds.

oh and the VTEC in it is for economy not power so yeah it's not a big helper.

    Drive safe, be safe.

first guy i'v seen who wants to buy a family car on the basis of its 0-100 timing, people consider economy from these cars and for speed there are plenty of options, its really ridiculous for the importance you are giving to 0-100kmph ...

its pretty good in acceleration in 1.3 category
    and comes with stiff suspension
so dont blame the OP if he is considering it as a rally car
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

Had City 08, the fastest 0-100 km/h achieved by me was 15.5 secs with Yokohama 195/60 R15 tires, wanted to own this 1.3 i-vtec beauty because it is much faster than the previous version!!!

    @ loser

Yes dude i always judge the car's importance by its 0-100 km/h figures, the performance is all based on a car's 0-100 km/h capability...As all of you know SHAUQ KA KOI MULL NAHIN, this applies on me as well and i have an old hobby of racing cars uptil 100 km/h from a standing start and then noticing down the precious timings!!!

    @RollOnBigMaMa

Brother you made me really happy by praising the performance of this awesome 1.3 i-vtec produced by Atlas Honda

I believe you that it can pull hard neck to neck with the new Altis 1.6 MT and keep neck to neck with the Reborn Prosmatec and give a tough time to the 7th Gen Vti Manual!!!

I think now have made up my mind to leave all the other Japanese Stuff like Fielder,Corolla, Vitz 1.3 and go for this great car!!!

    @ rohaan saeed

Dude i mean to say with the correct shifting as done by international auto enthusiasts if we bring the new Honda City 2012 up to the race track then how much time will it acquire to hit 100 km/h from 0!!!

15.5 seconds in an 08 City is slow, even with those tires, my City SX8 does it in 11 seconds flat.

A performance of a car is NOT based on it's 0-60 figure. That is a totally wrong perception.

It's a City, why would you want to take it out on a race track? Whatever you do a stock one won't go to 100 km/h in less than 11 seconds.

Got my answer to the question i asked, the new 2012 Honda City 1.3 L 100 bhp hits 0-100 km/h in an impressive 11 seconds!!!

Like the 2005 Civic EXI, which did it in 10.5 seconds, the 2005 VTI in 10 seconds and the Reborn 9 seconds!!!
