    Default Modify City 2002 Exis

    HI,

I am looking to modify the engine and suspension for my city 2002 exis. I know the engine power is ok but i need more power underneath my foot, when i drive and obviously a good suspension to go with it as well. The side skirts and bumper modification advice as well.

    Thanks in advance

What exactly are you planning on and what is your expected budget?

Don't go for side skirt and bumper fabrication since most people end up ricing up their City if they attempt to do so.

oh okay so you want to do an engine swap, I thought you're talking about tweaking the current engine.

Well remember, more 'cc' don't always mean more power. I think you mean the K20 when you say the 'Accord Engine'. Well, a K-series swap won't be easy, you'll need aftermarket mounts along with tons of parts and the whole swap (if done properly) will set you back at least 300,000.

Stick to D-series or even B-series if you're serious about this.

Type down what your requirements are and is the car daily driven or will you just use it occasionally? Like I said, everything depends upon your budget, so mention that as well.

A read, someone from karachi has already put a K series engine in the same model. And he was selling the car with whole set-up awhile ago, u can contact him and may b strike a deal, IF the car hasn't been sold yet. This will save you from alot of hassle on engine swap and other things.
If u still wanna do it, then as said earlier a K-series swap on D-series mounts will be a real pain in the rear portion. But this has been done and can be done.
Otherwise a simple solution would be to swap D15B Vtec engine (which is a bolt-on fit) and u'll be instantly upgraded by 40 horses.
Qaiser Pal,I have not failed. But found 1 of 10,000 ways which doesn't work.....Toyota driver "I couldn't repair my brakes,so i made my horn louder"..When i was born i was so surprised that i didn't talked to one and half year..since light travel faster then sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak..If u can't convince them, confuse them

Jahanzeb bhai I've driven a H22 swapped City, it was good for drags but when it came to handling, the car was pathetic, it had massive braking problems as well.

City is best with a D15, D16 or a B16 at max. Anything more than this and you'll need to be really careful of your overall setup.

B16 is best swap for city.....anything bigger is possible but you never enjoy the handling and fun ride of car

big engines will give you more power but more weight at the front will destroy handling and weight distribution

a good tuned b16 can do wonders
