Unhappy Honda City 2012 Giving avg of 9KMPL

guys i need some help and advice from experts, i got my honda city delivered in end may drove it around 1000km in a month..... but the avg it is giving me is quite alarming, it gives around 7-9 KMPL within city on AC, which is actually unheard of even for a 2.0L car, i have changed the tyres to yokohmda AVS dB 195/65/15 but i think even this sizee shouldnt reduce the avg to soo looowww.. nd have also got alloy rims, 7 inch width but i mean 7 KMPL or 8 KMPL or the max i got once was 10KMPL is tooo low for a 1.3L car which is actually designed and has a repute of good fuel economy.....
    guys plzz help

    engine khulnay do bhai jaan
a guy i know installed 205/45/15 tyres along with alloy rims in his city and yet his car used to give 13 km/l under high rev driving in city and full time AC and that car had a muffler installed too
brand new car consumes more fuel but things get perfect after 10,000 km

as far as i know , any new car does around 8 or 9 km/l for the first 5000km , and then after the 5000km tuning , checkup , oil change etx , it does what its supposed to do .. a city (2009 onwards , manual) does 13 or 14km/l (depends on how u drive , 13 or 14km/l is achieved when rpm mostly kept below 3200rpm)
also , installing bigger tyres will make the car heavier and so fuel eff drops .. also tht u cant really measure fuel consumption when u've deviated from stock size , as the 195/65R15 tyre's diameter will be much greater , so the odo might say 100km while in reality u may had covered 110km .. even the speedometer showing 100kmh , u may actually be travelin like 103kmh ... so i wud recommend to use 185/60 or 185/65 if u wanna avoid 175/65 stock... exact calculations here Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible Page 1 of 4

Don't worry. It will get better. I'm using my 2010 Honda city with 205/60/r15 tyres with Alloy rims and a muffler is installed too.
I usually drive with heavy foot. Not that much but gear changes are sometimes near 5k rpm other wise max is 3k-4k. I get 13km/l exact in city driving with AC on.
One more thing. I only use genuine air filter/oil filter which are available on dealerships. If you use genuine air filter. and car is totally Honda classic maintained.
