Michelin Defender is way better than Energy series in terms of road grip (dry /wet) handling and wear, while the energy series is for high fuel efficiency, high comfort and lowest possible noise. I don't know how well Yokohama db series handle.
I am also looking to change tires on my Gli '05, n planning to get 195/70/14. I was doing a little research and wondering how would you guys rate the following.
Michelin weather Energy or Defender is way better than any of the following and is expensive as well. I could not find the defender in Lahore so far (will be searching faisal town) but energy series is b/w 8,600 to 9K here.
a. Dunlop SP LM703 (I think this is the next gen Lemans, but the word is removed from the tire of 2012 make, am i right?)
b Yokohama A300
c. Yokohama Db series
d. Dunlop Eco (i had bad experience with it the tread deformed after 12-15K Km and had a burst tyre as it has very soft side walls)
So guys what do u think which is better considering i'd make a couple of trips to ISB / Gulyat / Balakot etc per year.
