Default Air filter Latest Honda City

    As Salam Alaikum
Own 2010 city which has now covered 60k Kms. The Oem Air Filter use to come Pre Oiled and is recomended to be used for 10k kms however im never able to use it for more then 4 5k kms as after tht the performance n mileage of car gets mad. At last oil change a very popular parts shop Filter house gave me Oil free dry typo Air Filter in Genuine packing and told me tht now its coming oil free.Should it be used as it is or I should apply some oil?
The car is daily driven around 100kms on ring road and industrial area

    wasay,
I have same car and almost same mileage driven and I feel same problem in start i.e. after 20,000 km and from that day I am using guard air filter and change it after 5000 km and happy after 40,000 driven. So go for guard filter (its non-oily but better).

How much did Filter House charge you for the claimed OEM Filter? The OEM Filter of City is indeed Oiled. Filter House is just a thug. They used to be good, however recently they have started charging insanely and keeping inferior quality parts. I have been dealing with them for quite a while now regarding Filters of CAT generators and transport trucks.
They used to stock VIC Filter for City, which IMHO is an excellent value for money. It was priced at PKR 800 and all of sudden they jacked up it's price to PKR 900. Try VIC if you can source it, it easily lasts 5K KM

if u use non oil filter when manufacturer suggest use of oiled one, you run a risk of faster valve seats recession. i wont suggest that.

We should definately support local industry but local industryliest should also realise and provide quality products.I have tried both guard air and oil filter n have to replace them only after using it for 2k kms.
VIC has good quality but didnt find 1.OEM costed Rs:950
