Default Dent - Honda City - Rocker Panel area

Hello friends... I got this stupid dent in "rocker panel"/"foot board"/"side skirt" area.... I don't know the exact terminology, but i guess these terms are interchangeable...

how do i get rid of this dent? what do you people recommend?

i do understand some remedies may involve devaluing the car - but i have seen people doing these repaints and still getting a good resale value. So sometimes devaluation is just out of fear - you can still get a good a resale if know how to sell.. Plus, if it does mean devaluing, how much loss in value are we talking about? i may still go for repair nevertheless - i just want drive a good-looking car!

sorry, the car is a bit dirty when i took these pics - I am going to clean/service/wax the car on Monday.. i do treat the car with respect

    thanks.

nope, denter just drills hole, and pulls this dent outwards and then filling and paint.

money is not a problem, as i have insurance, and will get the best denter/painter in town... i was thinking honda drive in...

it happened and its gona happen again,,, i know cuz i also have a city around a year old,,, the first wound i got was abt the same place but not that much pannel gone back just a few millimeters touched it up with kalam and was hardly noticeable... and than it happened again ... other other side so after a search of months i found some oem fitting plastic side skirts and got them fitted... to save the panels from further damage... fiber one will also do the job if fitted with out making any holes... id say its better to save the panels than getting tham repainted several times u can always do that b4 your insurance expires. Btw my car is not insured and my friends City (07) was and in 3 year on insurance we loved to visit honda fort even the last week of insurance the car was at BMW showroom getting a fender and bumpers painted... that car has 2 right sides door and roof in original paint,, and i have seen it age,, the repainted parts no matter how good they were when repainted are just not the same... so id suggest u to save the orignal paint as much as u can...

Denting painting is the only way out. And get it done asap because of i can see some rust.
If you want to drive a good looking car. and want good resale. Go to Honda dealership. and get it done from there.

@Poster: By now, you have received many suggestions, recommendations, comments. You are bound to do your own thing, the thing that seems right to you. But as Sk_kingpiN correctly pointed out regarding the rust I'd also suggest you get the dent out and paint job. After doing that you should install the side skirts (although if one does that to cover the denting/painting=ethically I wouldn't second that unless you feel it important to tell the future buyer. But if he's a broker, go to any extent lol)
As for the dent / ding in the door outer panel, it looks like it could be reduced but not entirely corrected. But then again, a professional can tell.

thank you so much for summing it up all for me and all other posters.. appreciate it

and I will certainly let the future buyer know about the paint job... by the way, how much loss in Market Value are we talking about because of the paint job approximately?

Just go ahead with the repair. Either way, some jerk will point it out to bargain on the price. I know exactly how it feels. So forget about that part. You got a lovely ride and enjoy it. The ride was meant to give you joy by the Grace of Almighty Allah and not to give you a reason for concern regarding resale. Cheer up man. Jo Allah ne naseeb mein likha hai, wohi resale miley gee so leave that to the Almighty not to the market.

it is your car and if it is not an eye-soar for you you keep as it is i feel awkward when owner of expensive (ab tou mehran bhi expensive car hai) cars consider 'resale' value all the time a dirt car is sign of unhygienic mind and damaged dented car is sign of weak financial health
