Default Engine Type of City 1.5 VTec

Can any owner of Honda City VTec 1.5 (2006 model) confirm what is the Engine Type / series being offered? i.e. is it L-Series engine?

    Thanks "testdriver"

I have got these facts and figures. I just want to know the series of engine. You know similar engines from different series can produce equiv. horsepower & torque but have different techniques + fuel efficiency.

If you can assist - I'll appreciate.

Plus anybody on fuel consumption of City VTEC?

fuel consumption is promised to be very good thats the whole idea behind this version of the city

.. around the same what the idsi gives...

you can even attain a better fuel consumption than idsi.. it all depends on how you drive it..
Do the environment a favour, Use less airconditioning .. and please walk to the shop to get a pack of cigarretes..its only a 3 min walk..

fuel consumption ratings provided by the manufacturer are achieved under ideal driving conditions with minimal interference from the available driving conditions

in reality...ur mileage will always be higher (my take is always 10% to 20% depending upon car)

engine codes are engraved on the engine block. just pop the hood and look for the code on the right side of the block just before the transmission.
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it..and so restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions.

Actually, I can't get hold of the required info - as I just got my City VTEC booked - I don't own it - yet. I was hoping someone - who alread owns a City 1.5L- might help.

If no one replies - I will get the info when my own car arrives.

I have read few reviews on web - stating that Honda actually reworked the entire suspension of this new CITY (2006). They changed some settings as well as replaced a few parts with higher quality alternatives. Result? a lot better ride than 2003 CITY.

I wonder if Honda Atlas did the same in Pakistan? At least they are not declaring it. Any ideas?
