Default Eps issue with honda city 07

    hi all,
i own honda city model 07, i recently changed the rims and tyres on my ride and got dunlop 165/70/14 which supposedly is a thin and light tyre.
the issue is that the steering has somewhat gone hard with no eps light coming up..got the alignment checked twice to rule out any errors in the alignment. whn idling the steering should be light but myn is a little hard, also on a u turn the steering wont come back to normal itself..
can anyone shed some light on this issue as in what this can be? or any suggestions where to get it checked from?
    thanks

wat tire size u had before it? check the tire pressure. 165 is the smallest u can put on an idsi, steering shud nt get any harder.

before i had 185/r14 brought it down to 165 but still no issue, got the car checked at honda too they say eps seeems to be fine and there is no error light even coming up. wondering its just an issue with the alignment or may be the d-boot of the steering to see if its cut or torn out.

it has nothing to do with tires. i used to have 195s on my idsi n steering wheel was as smooth as cream. now i have 185 n steering isnt nearly as gud. there are other things in the suspension which can influence the steering assist. there is a nut on the steering assembly, just below the eps motor housing, if u open it a bit, steering gets softer, close it n u make it tighter. however, if u havent gotten any work done on the suspension lately, this shudnt be the issue. i wud recommend u to take ur car to honda 3s or any other mechanic who has the equipment to reset the EPS ecu, i ve heard it helps. though never got it done on my car...
