Default Need expert advice regarding coolant for Honda City 2013

    Hello Everyone,
I need an expert advice from you guys regarding coolant for my Honda City 2013. I got the car just 8 days back, the reserve tank for coolant is on min right now. Need to fill it up till the max level. Question is; what to use? Should I use plain water or use a coolant? if coolant is to be used, which one?

    Thank you.

8 days old car with low coolant !!!! Dont add water. Take it to Honda Dealership and screw the **** out of them. This problem should not happen.

SO this means when the car is handed over the coolant is supposed to be at max. I didnt check the coolant level when it got delivered. Just randomly checked it yesterday.
Another problem is that the trunk handle silver trim has imperfections on it. Kind of rusty black marks.

Even if you didnt check it at the time of delivery....it should me up to the mark. Go and tell them all the problems..... These should not appear in 8 days. Rust also cannot be developed in 8 days. Your car is in warranty. Do what ever level of agression it takes to get it done for FREE.

OK. So I checked coolant level in my city today and read its manual. Its level should be in between min and max. Intact it rises a bit when car reaches its optimum operating temperature. But that rust is not good.

^^ That tank is to collect expanded coolant - if the level is below min on cold engine - you need to add - if its anywhere above min on cold engine you are OK - leave it alone.

Dont fiddle around with the radiator cap either.
