Default recommended engine and transmission oil for city.

    AoA pakwheelers,

I just bought Honda City (vario) 2007 from first owner which is 45,500KM on ODOmeter. Can city owners please recommend me which engine and transmission oil is the best for my city and after how much mileage I should change it as I want my car to be healthy as long as possible.

    Expert opinions will be appreciated.

    Congrats on ur purchase.
Try zic A+ or havoline fully synthetic. If u switch to synthetic you'll have to stick to synthetic oils.
For transmission best is to get CVT trans oil from Honda dealership.

For transmission oil always go with honda genuine. Look into the manual for info on when to change oil.
For engine oil there are choices depending on your budget and the viscosity grade.

You can go for mineral, semi synthetic or synthetic. Some good ones in my opinion are Havoline synthetic, liqui moly MOS2, and oils by MOBIL are also very good. (super 1000, 2000, mobil1 etc). Oil change interval should be from 4000km(mineral) to 6/7000 km(synthetic).

you should use havoline 10w30 without any hesitation as the honda north here in peshawar advises me the same. but it would be better to ask the owner and use the same engine oil . BEcause it hapnd to me twice when evr u use a slight thick or thin oil( means chnging oil grade from the previous owner) in city u will face problms becuase the engines becomes noisy in both cases so all the brands are good but what matters is the grade..
