Default City idsi engine Problem, Please help

    Salamzz

Guys i have a city 06 idsi, I'm facing a problem with it's engine oil reduction. I have gone through all the threads related to this problem but couldn't decide...
My city reduces one liter of engine oil after 2500 kms. I have consulted couple of mechanics and they say that car's engine is good it only needs Ring piston replacement. In summer with AC on oil reduction would increase.... there is no such issue like white smoke and engine sound is quite good, in fact it's a soundless engine... engine is 150K driven...
Should I go for ring piston change ? will it solve my problem? or engine overhaul or swap? ring piston change would cost me around 8k (Including labour+parts) according to mechanic....
    please help..will be grateful to

idsi has a tendency to reduce oil
    however yours is reducing alot
use caltex 20-50 oil and change at 3k interval

complete overhaul is useless its to expensive and does not last
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

rebuild with good parts is very expensive
and it doesnt work like it should and it does not last at all
assembly swap is much much safer and better

we replaced engine on our idsi @ 20k ....if you go for overhaul stick with same piston and dont get the cylinders bored..just get the rings on the piston change and also get head seals changed...otherwise engine swap is also good as city's kabli engine is cheap.

R u sure ring piston job will require only 8K.....i had it done to my city 2008...just the ring replacement...not even pistons....only one of the rings was weak...at cylnder 2......so i had a ring replacement job...cost around 13K....4k is only the labour,,,,,as it requires a full day by the mechanic....3500 for a genuine head gasket....2200 for TP Ring....u can have the details from following thread......https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/eng...rhaul-required

and most importantly......It works...just as good as a swapd engine would do,.....im not in favour of having a swapd engine......u will have to change the engine number on ur registration book...which will ultimatly hurt ur reselling option......
