city 2000 to 2003(early) comes with 16 valve 1.3 D series engine and manual car i have gives mileage 10kmpl in city without AC and on long 12kmpl with AC
its automatic version is exis automatic comes with simple 4 speed automatic and in city mileage is 6 to 8 kmpl without ac dont know about long.city 2000 to 2003 have strong body, spare part is costly then next generation idsi.
city 2003(late) to 2005 comes with 8 valve 1.3 L series engine the engine which has 2 plugs per cylinder i-dsi stands for intelligent dual and sequential ignition its engine is very fuel efficent best car to kept on petrol and manual car gives 14 kmpl in city and upto 20kmpl in high way but have less power than old one and less room space and very light weight body
its automatic model is vario which is cvt (continus variable transmition) which need very care and maintenance could not converted on cng after cng auto tranny will blow in 2 months but cvt gives better milage than manual

spare part is not issue mil jata hai sb kuch ager ap ferrari b rakho gy to uska b kahin na kahin sy mil jayega aur yeh dono pkdm cars hain

i suggest u to buy 2003 to 2005 manual but if u want auto then go for vario but cvt gear box need alot care and costy hai gear box but mil jata hai

u should see both car. and buy according to ur taste

my 2002 city gives 14kmpl in city and 17kmpl on highway! dont know whats with ur figures? and i found its spare parts to be cheap as compared to indus corolla! i can get its original airfilter for 1130rs, original brakes(disks) for 6.5k , rest all other parts are interchangable with civic 98!

thankyou for your informative input. i have manual car but due to traffic congestion i m looking for strictly auto car now.
refering to ur advice for City Vario 2003(late) with cvt, apart from regular service n oil change what else do u recomend to take care of for long lasting n hasle free.
also any other Auto only car that u recomend under 750K

i told u there minimum averages well tuned will give even more and idsi vario have L series engine which comes in hybrid wid IMA and same cvt as come in hybrid.it is very fuel efficient.never i kept cvt but it do not have gears. it works on this principle
    Honda CityAutomatic -1159814
changes gear ratio on every speed and rpm accordingly and gives good milage.just need proper engine power so never convert engine to cng. and proper oil check is ka transmition oil upper sy check hoja ta hai like engine oil.aur ismai eps hai very light steering and need no maintaince.
surely u can find a good car in this buget check following links
