I have a 2004 CVT and was thinking of selling it just 2 weeks ago as I couldnt afford the petrol. I had heard stories about how this car cannot be converter to CNG. I decided to take the plunge.
The car runs great on CNG. I am getting 175KM on a 55Kg cylinder...
Here is what you need to tell the mechanic
1. No spark plug advance processor. This is a must. It has 8 plugs and no processor supports that. Makes no difference in timing.
2. Install Landi Ranzo electronic kit. Comes with built in emulators. It will start on petrol and will switch automatically when you hit 4000RPM.
3. The air intake has to be 3/4th closed just like any other carburettor car.
