Cool Owner's Club: Honda City Aspire 2013 1.5L

    Hi Guys,

I thought all 1.5L Aspire owner's can come under one roof and share their opinions about this car and the unique engine type which has been introduced for the first time in Pakistan in ivtec. This will also provide a good reference point to standard City and Aspire 1.3L owners and help everyone make an informed decision to the age old conflict between Standard City or Aspire when it comes to new purchase.

    Areas of Focus:
    Engine Performance
    Entertainment System
    Navigation/GPS Performance
Handling/Braking considering new Aspire is 1.5L
    and many more ..........

All opinions and suggestions are welcome.

There was somebody in the forums mentioning not to use Synthetic Oil during initial 5000KM. I hope you changed it after that..

Let me send you the pic of steering cover properly stiched, sometime tonight. The feel and grip of that cover makes you enjoy the drive much better than this cover. Still the color is lot better atleast.

Am I the only lazy person here who has driven 2500 KMs without steering cover, plastic rexin sheet and plastic / rubber floor mats?

P.s. my car is as clean as new Alhumdulillah.

Also somebody please suggest a good interior cleaning thing which does not leave greasy finish.

I have driven 3600kms and no seat cover, steering cover or rexin sheet at all...only bought floor mats last week...why preserving seat covers for next owner? About engine oil, i used honda synthetic oil changed at 3400 kms...bought some korean interior cleaner here...it has matt finish and no greasy, glossy or oily look

Arite here's a thing. I went to this Honda Gateway today after completing 2500 KMs for an Engine Oil change. Their supervisor insisted on using the current oil till 4000-4500 KMs and it is perfectly safe. I am not convinced somehow and the initial oils should be changed on priority in my opinion. Can you guys add anything on this?

^If your car is brand new, I would've got my engine oil changed. You might notice a lot of metal shavings inside your old oil- That is from the engine internal parts settling in. Those shavings will keep on traveling through your engine, all the way till you get oil changed.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

When i changed my forst oil at 3400kms, there were no metal shavings or impurities...oil color was still brownish nd viscosity was perfect...i was also in favour of changing oil at 1000km bt they insisted me to use this oil for 5000kms so i kept using originl oil toll 3400kms

It is very hard to notice the Metal Shavings- They could be trapped inside Oil Filter. You can notice them, if you have a magnet nearby. And they are small.

If they are trapped INSIDE the oil filter, how would an oil change remove those? I believe they won't be changing the filter on this oil change.
correct me if I am wrong.
