Cool Owner's Club: Honda City Aspire 2013 1.5L

    Hi Guys,

I thought all 1.5L Aspire owner's can come under one roof and share their opinions about this car and the unique engine type which has been introduced for the first time in Pakistan in ivtec. This will also provide a good reference point to standard City and Aspire 1.3L owners and help everyone make an informed decision to the age old conflict between Standard City or Aspire when it comes to new purchase.

    Areas of Focus:
    Engine Performance
    Entertainment System
    Navigation/GPS Performance
Handling/Braking considering new Aspire is 1.5L
    and many more ..........

All opinions and suggestions are welcome.

salam everyone, i am currently owning Suzuki Swift 2013 DLX, it has superb traction and acceleration, but the only downside is the fuel average, hardly not more than 12 kmpl (city and highway combined), (2k rpm at all times with partial AC)... i am looking forward to the new Honda City Aspire... with a hope of better fuel average...
so can some proud owners of Honda City provide me with some personal reviews...
    1. What is the fuel average of
    a) 1.3L
    b) 1.3L Aspire
    c) 1.3L Aspire Prosmatic
    d) 1.5L Aspire
    e) 1.5L Aspire Prosmatic
    2. How comfortable it is regarding Swift DLX?
    3. What is the reason behind the higher RPMs??
I may be young, but i have hell lots of EXPERIENCE.

Whats the difference between the non facelifted and facelifted aspire 1.5?
From what ive researched, only the foglights have been added in the facelifted 1.5, others are just cosmetic changes; chrome grille and ac knobs, new bumpers, new backlights and blue meter cluster with eco mode.
    Am i missing anything?

hey guys. like some recent pakwheelers I've been going through the dilemma in choosing the pre facelift aspire at the reduced price and the facelift basic. Heres my personal opinion, i find the fabric seats to be more comfortable than leather, nor am i really a fan of the screen because it is more dangerous to use while driving, the only real let go for me would be the rims which i adore. And the power of the 1.3 is good enough for me and it will have help me save on fuel. So I'm favouring getting the basic facelift 1.3 and then get some good/decent quality rims and tyres installed. Opinions and recommendations regarding rims and tyres will be appreciated.

Bro, if u even slightly care about mileage, go for 1.3, even in worst case,it will giv about 15 kmpl. I have seen it in Honda Palace Hyd,it was looking cool.

It looks like a three different color scheme. One is Blue/White, Other is Orange/Amber, this is Red

it looks a 'little' better in standard city as the audio unit is also blue / white and only the knobs are orange. If someone can get the bulbs changed, it would add a good feel overall.

Yeah even a simple white light instead of amber would work really well

My car came with a cabin filter from the factory. Still, the AC stinks quite regularly. Often, this foul smell will start coming from the ac vents when I turn it on.

    Any idea why?

Guys i got my Aspire 1.5 Prosmetic from Honda Fort today, insured it before leaving showroom, drove it in lahore for around 30 kms, absolutely pleasure to drive !
Mileage i got from my first trip on same day of delivery (Lahore to Sahiwal-200 kms) was 17.1 kmpl (according to display, havent checked by actual fuel refilling), with light foot and speed in range of 90-110 and frequent braking due to heavy traffic on road. At 100 kms speed RPMs are 2000, totally against what few people are suggesting
And when full accelerator is pressed, the engine response is phenomenal. it becomes a monster totallyOwners Club Honda City Aspire 2013 15L -1518820Owners Club Honda City Aspire 2013 15L -1518823Owners Club Honda City Aspire 2013 15L -1518826Owners Club Honda City Aspire 2013 15L -1518829

100% sure dude, and when you press accelerator with light foot, there is a green ECO display on side of speedometer which turns on showing that you have pressed the throttle for max fuel mileage.my RPMs stayed in the range where i wanted them. when throttle is pressed heavily, car RPMs increase to 3k-6k as per requirement, and when slow acceleration is done with ECO on, as i did, rpms stay in 1.8 to 2.2 range and this my friend gives max mileage. So a person with heavy foot will claim that this car is **** and too high rpm but in actual it is not, see this picture againOwners Club Honda City Aspire 2013 15L -1518917
