Default Honda city 04 engine problem

    AOA

My honda city 04 is giving some problem, any good suggestion are welcome as i am going soon to Rwl to repair it in this hot weather.

On petrol it seems fine but on CNG, in 1st gear it does not pick as it used to before. I thought engine needs tunning again but i have done tunning a month ago. The car is now consuming more gas as compared to be4.

I have checked the car by a good/renowned tunner and after doing compression test he said one valve of cylinder 2 is weak and in this case he usually donnt do tunning and i believe him somehow.

I took my car to some other mechanic for double checking and after inspecting he said engine is bit weak.

Any suggestion and good shops in rwl/isb for such repair will be appreciated

    Thanks

One of the valves may be weak but what is the performance on petrol. If it is doing something on petrol than the repair is required. Check your car on petrol when the engine is reasonably hot and with AC OFF. If the pick is good than you need CNG tuning. for that you need to check whether your emmulator advancer is working properly.

If the pick on petrol is not good than also please check the timing. I dont think your car is run a lot to have this troubles

BTW what are the compression readings can you share them here.

On petrol its fine though, the problem is on cng only. Some times in first gear it is about to die but comes to life again. I have to press accelerator little bit to gain momentum. CNG kit tunning has been done.
also when engine oil cap is opened there is a blow (duk duk with fumes can be seen), the mechanic says jub tak chalti hay chalye.
I don't know those comp-reading as i sent driver for tappet setting.

Well that duk duk is the sound of valve train in its motion and the oil fumes are due to the fact that as there is oil in the head and with its parts moving some oil is always thrown out, that is why they have airtight cap there.

Have you not seen a car whose fuel filling cap does not seal properly, its head cover is all filled in oil this due to the same reason.

Dont ever think of repairing your engine at the moment. First get your timing checked may be your TPS and IACV are not properly caliberated it could also be a problem with advancer+emmulator.

Can you upload a 5 min video of your car with starting on petrol and idling than running in first gear than conversion to gas and than again running in first gear.

as far as I know his car is only driven 131k kms and I dont think it is too much mileage to cause valve seats to go out of shape. Normally the defective parts at this mileage are valve seals and piston rings.

if car is fine on petrol
its means do not touch or fiddle with mechanical parts and ruin it

u have to play with cng components and setting only
take it to rehman cng/peshawar road, near chohar chawk
take it in cng loadshedding days preferably (else he is to busy to entertain much)
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

Just take into account the fact that all cars are heavily loaded with A/C when temperature rises as high as 45C in May-June. For older cars in many cases the load is too much on CNG and effect performance.

In the first video that tick tick sound is very common in the honda city so not that much worry some. that puck puck sound when opening the engine oil cap is due to the moving valve train parts, now about the smoke and oil droplets yes your engine seems a little bit weak. 1 question here does your engine reduce oil?

The pick of the car seems fine on petrol but one thing that I suspect is that your tps and idle stop screw have not been properly caliberated

Fast, Free Video Hosting & Video Sharing - VideoBam
Yes as evident from the video the cars drop to a point where the car was baring standing in the idle and engine was about to stall that is why 2 lights lightning up.

    Conclusion:

Yes your engine is a little bit weak and it might me eating a little oil but it is not too late to be running on that engine. I mean you can delay the major engine repairs but first caliberate the Tps and idle stop screw and advancer emmulator. After watching the second video personally I dont feel that your car is in too bad a shape.
