    Default Honda City 2010 Reserve Fuel Light Illuminating Continuously.

    The reserve fuel light / gas station light on my honda city is illuminating constantly even though my fuel tank is half full. The light just wont stop illuminating. Is there any remedy to this problem

    Off the engine at even place. Wait for some time and again on it then start it. It happens as the fuel pump does not read it instantaneously. Same happen with my Vitz. Last night i filled my car and after some time it read the fuel and the bars increased.

    Let me share my experience. I have 1.6GLi 1995. One day it did same with me. Tank was near to half and this light was consistently on. I went to mechanic and he just opened fuel filler cap to let some gas out (Dont know what this gas was and how it got there, but i could hear sound as that of leaking cylinder). after few seconds he put the cap back and told me that fuel breather valve is malfunctioning. But i dont know whether your car has same fuel system or some electronic gadgets for the same function.

    may be following causes;
    1, using cng and needle is down either tank is half.
    2, malfunction of fuel sensor.

    adviced, in 1 & 2 cases fill some litres not less than 10 ltr and check if problem presist check through honda service centre.

    3, fuse is switched off in fuse box. (check fuse).
    4, when u tuned it (if more than 3 months) grt tuned it at honda service centre and told them to check on computer may be some software problem (but dont tell actual problem they will charge you extra).

    more your luck.....
