Thread: urgent help needed regarding city 2012 ivtec

    Default urgent help needed regarding city 2012 ivtec

    aoa all a friend of mine has a 2012 city almost 7k driven he was saying that the car is not accelerating smoothly i asked him to give it to me for a test drive i know city is a smooth car as we have a 2007 almost 79k driven without issues till date so coming to the point his car was not accelerating smoothly and when it is parked and given accelerator car refuses to go beyond 4000 rpm urgent help is required is there an issue with vtec ecu or clutch ?

    It actually behaves like it. From 1k to 3k rpm. It thinks whether to speed or not. After that. it goes like vrooom.
    and on stand still position. It wont go beyond 4.5k RPM because there is idle rev limiter in city which prevents hard revs on neutral. No issue with ECU or clutch.

    So what could be the issue drove it today it went till 90kph in 2nd could do.more but the road did not allowed to go faster
