Default Honda City 2011 new shape ground clearance isse

    Dear Members ,

I need suggestions of what can be done to improve the ground clearance on my city. i have seen the silencer dholki under the driver seat is bulging out and it touches my house garage ramp and other speed breakers, I am not interested to insert spacers or add new springs. is there anything that can be done in the exhaust sytem to overcome the issue,

can any thing be added on this to avoid the direct impact from road?

I am worried why honda has not done RnD on this thing only this dholki is bulging out :@

    Please help me

    Sameer

I need some solution.
brother you can solve the problem by installing 195/65 R15 tyres.

I might be late, but meh.

Yes, here's a little checklist for you.

    Pre-delivery Checklist

Given below are the points that you must check in a car before taking delivery.

Power windows: The power windows function must be checked. In case they are a bit sluggish they can be lubricated by the workshop people.

Engine frame: The car be raised by the automotive lift and the undercarriage inspected. The under carriage should be inspected for any damages and corrosion. Some car manufacturers were notorious for supplying a car which was built even one year earlier. The storage conditions in open spaces can lead to corrosion and hence must be investigated.

Check for any dents and chips in the paint work. The cars are transported long distances before they come to you, so they must be checked for damage.

Check the condition of the spare tire, rim, and the jack.

Check that all the lights and the indicators are working correctly.

Check the wipers the pumping action of the wiper fluid pump.

Run the air conditioner and check the cooling action.

Run the engine and listen to the sound. Accelerate and listen to the sound for any vibrations.

Check the color of the exhaust.

    Check the tool box provided.

Operate the music system and check that all the speakers are working.

Check the vehicles year and the month of manufacturer. It should be as recent as possible.

Check the odometer reading. It should not be more that fifteen kilometers.

Take the delivery during the daylight hours so that you can inspect it properly.

Check all the documentation is proper. The manuals and the papers are provided.

Take a demo of your car. Test drive it.

Check the remote locking and the central locking function.

Check for any difference in the shade of the paint.

Check the engine oil, gear oil and the level of all the other fluids.

Check the battery and in its terminals.

Check that the tires are new and are correctly inflated. Sometimes they are overinflated so that they look good.(They will definitely be over-inflated when they come, so kindly get their pressures adjusted to 30PSI asap.)

Check the seat belts and the floor mats.
    -----------------------------------------------

These are some basic things one must check before taking the delivery from the dealership. Check your car in great detail and check your car's paint thoroughly before taking the delivery.

    -----------------------------------------------
    Here's the checklist:
    1. Test the central locking couple of times in succession.
    2. With the engine running turn the wheel clockwise and anti-clockwise to the extremes and try to hear and check for any noises of clicks, clanks or motor humming.
    3. Check all lights, indicators.
    4. Check coolant level.
    5. Check the body of the vehicle for the minutest scratch, nicks or paint imperfection.
    6. While checking the engine bay, boot and all doors, ensure that no clip is missing (makhi).
    7. Drive back carefully, en-route fill her up with a reputable fuel pump for good quality fuel.
    8. Offer Sadqa immediately.

If you are a regular city driver and not often on highways, then don't change the tyres yet. They are not that bad. Let the engine settle down somewhat. Though I'm not suggesting that it won't settle down with better performing tyres. Choose tyres wisely.

Stay away from security remote system.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

Anyways, this is the thread you want to ask in- i know very very little about cars, these experts can guide you better.
Just write down what you prefer, soft ride, fuel saving ride etc. and you will get guided!

    1. Get your ramp redone.
    2. Drive diagonally on speed bumps.
    3. The car is fine.

Do you get one wheel on the speed breaker first, then the left one or both with just a small gap between right&first?

reminds me when we went to visit a family in Gujrat- Their ramp was a PITA. Narrow street, and the ramp was huge. It was i think 4 feet high with only 2.5-3 meters of ramp. Scraped the car twice, once driving up and once driving down. To top it off, he had tiled floor just next to the ramp and for a FWD car the tires were just spinning. That's were true driving experience comes to use
