IMO do not change the tranny if the CVT is not giving any problems and is working fine. If you are changing it just for the sake of driving a manual tranny, sell your vario and get a manual honda city in same or better condition. Changing the tranny may result in low resale value of the car.
Thats just what i think. Let the experts answer.

No dear, its not just for the sake of change rather it is asking for a change (transmission is giving problem). As far as reduction in car value is concerned, I am not considering it much as I want to keep the car for next 2-3 years and if it serves me well after this conversion, I am happy. The only thing I am looking for is a perfect conversion after which it works absolutly fine, just like a normal manual iDSI (I don't know if it is possible or just my wish).

I am afraid you wont be able to find a proper conversion kit. Even if you do, you might face problems in future.
If your cvt is giving a problem, get it repaired, or if you can afford, get a good kabli cvt transmission of the same type IMO.
    Rest is upto you.

A guy in G-9 Islamabad repairs CVT with this fault and charges 15k. Can ask for more details if you want.

CVT transmission oil is to be changed after every 40k max and here in Pakistan people drive car 100k without changing oil and CVT is too sensitive transmission and almost non repairable , I dont know about yours , what was your duration between CVT oil change ?

A close friend got steermatic which he uses on cng and its been 6 years its on cng running fine. People use to scare him of cvt failure and high replacement cost. Once we were checking prices of cvt gear for his car and one guy was willing to give us same gear in mint condition for 10 thousand heh.
