Default Cargo capacity of kei car 200 kgs only ??

Can anyone tell me about the kei car cargo capacity ? is it 200 kgs only ? i have seen it is written on the back side of kei cars alto and mira. I am wondering if allowed limit of passengers is 4 in these small hatchbacks, then 200 kgs cargo weight does not make any sense since 200/4 = 50 kgs per person is not the avg person weight, what happens if we carry 300 kgs in kei cars ? will it effect the car performance ?

the weight mentioned is for optimum performance & better fuel economy. suzuki pickup weight mentioned is 1950 Lbs ( approx 900 kgs) but am sure you must have seen it carrying 12 - 21 people plus CARGO over the mountains in northern areas.

anything above the mentioned max weight is called OVERLOADING ( over burdening the engine ) the vehicle

It's a so called JDM, right? That could very well be the weight of 4 average Japaneses. These little cars aren't designed for Sumos, you see.

If you take an average Pakistani family: Dad, Mom, 2 kids- they could easily fall within 200kg capacity. What more should you want?

P.S. Good thing they're not exporting them to America.

the capacity of most of the sedans on road is between 350 to 450 kg and we often exceed that. I weigh 90 kg and other members in my family are over 60kg. Overloading can result in sudden failure of load bearing parts of the vehicle if driven in rough conditions. the engine has to produce more power so more fuel consumption. also the life decreases.

Even the C class saloons like Reborn Civic has max weight of 395 kgs with cargo and luggage combined.

+10% is safe if your car is in good mechanical and electrical shape but anything above that can cause accident due to failure of brake or suspensions / steering systems.
All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.
