    the mechanic washig it with petrol...

    washing with petrol

    (@spectra) you reach the throtle body just by removing the whole air filter fittment...just by 2 bolts... and the whole air filter fitment comes off...before taking it off..you have to unhook the various pipes ...their clamps and the wires... which is the tricky part...

    after the air filter fittment id out.. you see the throttle body.. then there are 4 bolts...to take the thing off the engine...

    then there are some screws...you open them ..to get into fuel and air jets..then you just wash them...... its not as difficult a it seemed that day... it can be a DIY of 1 - 2 hours

    @akbar
    they let you stick around the car for as long as you want...

    fuel average improved from 10.5 to 13.5 after shiftig from shell to caltex and PSO

    engine response has improved...any improvement in consumption would be recorded in a week..

    i have also shifted from honda engine oil by caltex... to zic A+..that will also help consumption..

    Finaly u got time for it
    How is the change so far?
    It looks doable and easy now but after those plugs expereince, it semed like a mountain to climb
    NExt time we will do it ourselves for sure.
    ZIC is a good choice.
    Nice work
    Do keep posted about results

    @spectra

    yeah finally..its done... i also had to get it tuned on the diagnoser they have.. but that diagnoser had gone for an upgrade..and was not available on saturday... they told me that it would be back and working on monday... next saturday i m planning to go for that diagnoser tuneup..the charges are 500...

    the response of the engine with respect to the gas pedal has improved... but the idling dip at the time of starting is still there...

    the cars fuel consuption is varying from 12.5 to 14 on regular basis after we started putting in caltex and pso...

    with shell it was around 10.5-12max

    more results later...

    500 for diagnoser. Holly crap. Dewan charge 150 for that.
    Its good that pedal feel has improved. Now i think the dip is because of timing. what do u think? do check Injection timing readings especialy.

    looks like.. but i m not much familiar with these honda engines and their behaviors... as i havent been an owner...
    the diagnoser tuneup should tell the cause and rectify.. i would let you know when i m going..

    most probably i would get a booking of saturday 11 am.. and it wont take more than 1.5 hours i guess
