Default Zic A+ /Zin XQ for Honda city ivtec 1.3 M

    Dear Experts
I own Honda City ivtec 2012 its 30k on odo, engine is in perfect condition, no oil leakages, no oil reduction, etc every thing is perfect. also m using CNG since 1 year and each and every thing is fine. I m using ZIC A+ and it is 5w20 grade, now due to summer i feels it is not suitable on high temperatures, experts plz guide me should i go to Zic XQ 5w40 (Seems to me suitable for both winter and summer) or should i go for ZIC A 10w40 ?
I dont want to waste my money as well as dont want to ruin my car by using Honda Oil..
    Thanks in Advance.

Avoid fully synthetic in summers. I think ZIC A would do the job.
I myself switched to Mobil 1 Super 2000 from Zic A+ for summers. Its a mineral oil and i was using synthetic before, lets see what happens now.

what do u think ? other 90 percent of people using honda oem oil , are ruining their car ? or honda itself ruining their reputation by ruining the engine life ?? 5w-30 (total) is excellent and tested oil for the pakistani enviroment!

    logically :
Zic XQ (5w40) lowest temperature is 5 and highest is 40 (More temperature coverage)
ZicA+ (5w20) lowest temperature is 5 and highest is 20 (Less temperature coverage)
Both are synthetic oils, Zic A is semi synthetic, and fully synthetic keeps engine cleans, while mineral oils deposits in the engine. Synthetic oil has more fast flow, mineral oil cannot flow easily inside oil pump/engine specially when cold causes harm to engine. Fuel efficiency is another + point of synthetic oil
So Zic XQ should be best.

    What u guys think???

Just stick to one brand of oil- Either 5w30-5w40 or Mobil 1- 5w50. They all rock. Changing oil in the summer and winter is no fun and a headache. That's if you change car after 60-80,000KM. If you wanna keep it for more than 1-200,000Km, then keep on changing oils to keep engine in the best condition as possible.

    My personal preference;
    1) Mobil 1 5w-50
    2)LM Synthoil 5w-40
    3)ZIC XQ 5w-40
    4) Caltex havoline 5w-40
    5)LM 5w-30
Then the rest of the okay-ish oils and at the bottom- the legendary 20w50.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

The best oil for new civic and city is 5w30. Total quartz 9000 is the best option

i think suggested range for your car is 5W-30.

stick to that. ZIC A+ 5W-20 is not of this range. stop using it.

stick to any fully synthetic oil with the recommended range or atleast the oil should cover the suggested range like 5W-40, 5W-50 should serve the purpose but not 5W-20.

Most modern Honda engines are specc'd for 0w-20; Zic A+ should be fine. Anything upto 10w-30 should work well, but not above that.

    How about zic Ow-30.
Btw last time I talk with Zic engineer and said for summer and winters thing. But he completly turn this idea down .
I also compare technical data. Which also give the same thought as he did but my experience is temperature has a good link with performance. You can find difference by driving it in hot day and. Night

Say no to anything less than 10w and 30 in summers.

I switched to Liqui Moly from Zic A+ due to the reason that zic is no more same.
