    Default City IDSI 2006 HELP

    Hi,

I needed to ask you guys which are the best spark plugs for a Honda City 2005.

I am getting horrible fuel consumption (Around 9 km/L with ac on the highway!) from my Honda City IDSI 2005 Which was perfectly all right 4 months back (14 km/L with ac on the highway). I am thinking of doing a full engine tuning from a Honda 3s and i'll change my spark plugs this time around as well.

    Regards,

Buy liqui moly injection cleaner. German product and works well. Also if ur car is over 80k driven replace your fuel filter. Get it done from honda.

    1-Throttle body cleaning.
    2-Tappet adjustment.
    3-O2 sensor checking
    4-Spark plugs replacing.
    5-Checking the wiring.
    6-Checking the fuel pump.

Did u go through https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/whe...-city-fan-club ? There is nothing that can go wrong with Honda City that is not discussed in this thread. You just have to dig it out...

If you plan on using the Liqui Moly injector cleaner, use it first, and then followup with ultrasonic injector cleaning, since liqui moly will break free long staying deposits from the fuel tank, fuel rails, and the last place that all will end up will be the injectors, given they get beyond the fuel filter. For the injectors, since they fire on such a precise manner, nothing will beat ultrasonic cleaning.

For the plugs, I am still wondering which ones to get for my car as well. I installed two spoke NGK ones, which I now believe are the replicas, since the fuel mileage has deteriorated excessively.

@hash4u , buddy how was your experience with these NGK platinum ones? Decent fuel average?

Go to above mentioned thread. Install genuine factory specd spark plugs. Don't go for platinum ones. Idsi has 8 spark plugs.
