Go for Honda OEM oils and get them from Honda 3S
this will make it sure that the quality is consistent.

    for a 2004 I guess don't go beyond 10w-30 or 10w-40

I think it is only a myth that synthetic oil cant be used in an old car. If the car has a sound engine and clean from the inside then there should be no problem.

I have been using fully synthetic in my 16 year old car. I never saw any side effects, may be because we have always used quality oils.

The problem arises when you use bad oils that cause sludge, and on shifting to synthetic oil that sludge and deposits are removed giving rise to oil consumption issues.

Zic A is very good oil....keep using it...Zic A+ would be little too thin assuming 2004 city means over 100k km driven even if used very less....
