Default Oil for Honda City 2007

I have recently purchased Honda City 2007 model 60k driven. Need to change its engine oil. Don't know which oil is previously used by the previous owner. I have short listed the following oils. Need recommendation of the worthy fellows based on their experience.

    1. Zic A(10w-40) or A+ (5W-30) SN grade
    2. Shell Helix HX-7 (5W-30) SL grade
    3. Caltex Formula (5w-30) SM grade
    4. Kixx G1 (10w-40) SN grade.

    Awaiting quick replies.

    Regards,
    Nauman

    Salam to All,

i'm new to the pakwheel. so have a quick question about my city 2007 manuel patrol,
i've checked the Gear oil & engine oil to my mechanic and they said its fine no need to change it as i recently bought the city 2007, but he said gear oil is not up to the mark like there is approximately 1 liter gear oil can be filled so if its not giving you any problem no noice etc so dont bother when its create noise or feels that gear gets hard than only change it.

so need expert opinion from you guys. should i fill the remaining 1 liter oil or wait couple of months more because i'm concerned about my petrol consumption as i've just done tappet setting, plugs changed, throttle body cleaning and washed, everything is being done when the vehicle was bought last week.

waiting for the quick and expert opinions.

    Waqar

    Thanks

If there is no service history provided by the previous owner, or the oil was changed more than 45k km ago, change it. There's no knowing how much abuse that gear oil has seen.

But my priority is Only Honda Genuine Fully synthetic oil 5w-30 + Honda genuine oem oil filter. Both should be bought and replace from 3s Honda dealership only.

Honda Genuine Fully synthetic oil 5w-30 cost only Rs. 3000, Honda genuine oem oil filter cost you Rs. 860 and labor charges are Rs 400.

Sir, how did you/others know that almost 1L gear oil is less?
Because CITY manual do not has oil guage (dip stick) for gear oil.
It has bolt in chamber and cannot be guess exactly how much oil is less.
By the way, do you feel any hard shifting of gears from gear leaver?
Either you answer is yes or no, I'll suggest to have the gear oil change. Drain the old one and top up with new/fresh oil. Check the manual that how much oil it takes?. I guess it will be 2~2.25L.

    Salam to Pakwheelers,

Yes i've done it today i went to plaza to get the oil and other stuffs, i've bought Honda genuine manuel engine oil 3.7 Liters, cost me 2550 Rs. zic gear oil 3 Liters each liter cost me about 500rs, and the leppon Malaysia Made gets 250rs..

Yes you are right no one can examine city gear oil there is a bolt, the mechanic who inspected my car yesterday they've mentioned to me,
but i didnt listen to him i went straight away and done the rest.

and now after having all these things done ( BTW Maxxis 14-65-175 tires installed Yesterday ) i can really feel the difference in driving and the speed & sounds is also changed, im loving it now...

do share your experience with the tires size does it make difference in consumption.

    Have a good one.

    Thanks
