    Default City 1.5 2014 RPM?

Hi pakwheelers, my friend's City 1.5 2014 manual has its RPM at 4 on 120 kmph in fifth gear, is it normal with other city owners also or is there something wrong with this particular vehicle? Please help.
    Regards

That's just the CVT doing its thing. When accelerating hard, it chooses the shortest gear ratio for the speed. This keeps the engine in its maximum power band.

155 km/h - 160 km/h needs a lot of power to maintain, especially on a slight incline. Even our Civic starts to slow down from 160, if the RPM drops to 4k (4th w/ lockup). To maintain that speed, at least a tc slip is needed, if not an outright downshift to 3rd.

I dnt knw from whre u get ur knowledge atleast re-check then posting over here. N if u cant do that, drive a civic for a change u will know whats happening in an auto tranny. The guy in the earlier posts is driving at 140 not 120. Civic 2005 remains around 3k rpm at 120 and all civic owners can agree to it as they drive the car. Its a city with a 7 speed auto tranny do u think it will be at 150-155 at this rpm in its top gear? Plz dnt post if u dnt knw anything

that car is floored to accelerate hence highest rpm locked by cvt, drop the accelerator to cruise and rpm will drop to lowest possible for that speed.
